Completing, maintaining, auditing, and correcting your Forms I-9 can be overwhelming. Our “Everything You Need to Know About the Form I-9” webinar covers the basics, but we understand it can sometimes feel like you are drinking from a fire hose.
We are here for you!
In response to many requests for more detailed Form I-9 compliance sessions, we are thrilled to announce our new six-part series. Each one-hour session is focused on a specific Form I-9 topic, and includes 45 minutes of lecture and 15 minutes for Q and A. Breaking the key topics into separate session allows us to dive deeper into the issues. Join us for one, or the entire series, which includes:
Session 1 (March 23): Completing the Form on Hire – This session covers completing the form, the timeline for completion for each section, common errors, and how to be sure you get it right!
Sessions 2 (March 30) and 3 (April 6): Document Verification and Reverification – These sessions address the acceptable documents for completing Section 2 of the Form I-9, common errors, how to address questionable documents, what documents you must reverify, and the reverification process.
Session 4 (April 13): Preventing Discrimination in Your Processes – This session covers how to avoid potential discrimination with your Form I-9 processes.
Session 5 (April 20): The Immigration and Customs Enforcement (“ICE”) Inspection Process – This addresses the ICE inspection process, including the actions California employers must take if they receive an ICE Notice of Inspection.
Session 6 (April 27): Conducting an Internal Audit and Making Corrections – This session covers how to properly conduct an internal Form I-9 audit, identify common errors, and correct errors without creating more potential liability for the employer.
The cost for each session is $99 per person. As always, these sessions will be engaging, informative, and practical. Don’t forget to bring your questions!
