Opening for Experienced Employment Attorney

We currently have an opportunity for an experienced employment attorney in our Sacramento office.

Our attorneys handle advice and counsel, training, and investigations for private and public sector employers. This position also will handle administrative hearings and respond to client demand letters, but is not responsible for any civil litigation responsibilities. This unique career opportunity will give the ideal candidate the chance to work in a collaborative and engaging environment with experienced attorneys who enjoy mentoring.

Requirements

  •  J.D.
  • Qualified candidates must be licensed to practice law in California, remain in good standing, and meet requirements for continuing licensure to practice law
  • At least three years of employment law experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to meet our annual billable requirement of 1,700 hours

  • The pay scale for a qualified candidate is between $150,000 and $190,000, depending on relevant experience

Opening for Experienced Impartial Workplace Investigator

We currently have an opportunity for an experienced impartial workplace investigator in our Sacramento office.

Our investigators work independently on high-profile matters involving public and private sector employers in various locations and industries.

Requirements

  • J.D.
  • Qualified candidates must be licensed to practice law in California, remain in good standing, and meet requirements for continuing licensure to practice law
  • At least three years of prior third-party investigation experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to meet our annual billable requirement of 1,700 hours
  • AWI membership/certificate holder preferred

Opening for Legal Assistant

Shaw Law Group, PC seeks an exceptional team member to handle administrative responsibilities for our boutique employment law firm. This position assists attorneys in our advice and counsel department. Duties include sole responsibility for creating and editing Word, Excel, and PowerPoint documents, creating complex tables and charts, organizing voluminous documents, scheduling, and related tasks.

The successful candidate must have a strong work ethic, exceptional attention to detail and organization, solid proofreading and grammar skills, advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, excellent reliability and attendance, and a positive attitude. We offer an outstanding compensation and benefit package, a safe and supportive environment, and interesting work.

The schedule for this position is in office, from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with a one-hour lunch.

The pay scale for a qualified candidate is between $55,000 and $70,000, depending on relevant experience.
