Intensive Three-Day Workshop

Day 1: Investigation Fundamentals
We cover every essential step, from creating a workplan to handling witness representatives. Attendees receive practical guidance and cutting-edge legal analysis on:
- Applicable legal requirements
- Determining the scope of the investigation
- Key questions to ask complainants, respondents, and witnesses
- Maintaining the correct tone in questioning
- Assessing witness credibility
- Applying the appropriate evidentiary standard
- Drafting legally compliant closure notices
- Compiling relevant documents and electronic information
- Preventing retaliation and future misconduct
- Avoiding unconscious bias in every phase of the investigation
Day 2: Mock Investigation
Participants engage in a full mock investigation—from conducting interviews to reaching factual findings—using scenarios updated annually to reflect real-world challenges. Our instructors provide coaching and constructive feedback throughout the day to build confidence and refine investigative skills.
Day 3: Writing Effective Investigation Reports
We guide attendees step-by-step through writing clear, concise, and legally defensible reports, the most challenging part of any investigation.
Attendees receive our trademarked Investigator’s Manual, packed with checklists, sample interview outlines, and a model investigation report. Materials are updated annually to reflect the latest legal developments and investigative best practices.
This workshop is suitable for investigators of all levels—no prior experience required—and is ideal for anyone who wants to master workplace investigations, improve outcomes, and protect their organization.

When Will I Receive Access Instructions?

If you registered for multiple courses, you will receive a login link for each course one week prior to the day of the course (TBD).
Will Each Attendee Receive an Access Email for Group Registrations?
Yes. Each attendee will receive an access link that is for their use only. This includes attendees that registered as part of a group. Please select the appropriate quantity of attendees for each course.
