Join Trish Higgins and Hector Alvarez for this one-of-a-kind half-day seminar on the two workplace issues everyone is talking about!
Through engaging Q & A and hypotheticals, Trish, a nationally recognized employment lawyer, will cover #metoo, sexual harassment prevention, and EEO compliance, including all of the topics required by California Government Code section 12950.1 (i.e., AB 1825). Trish will help you understand the “gray” areas in harassment prevention, how to implement an effective EEO compliance program, and the best strategies for creating a culture that encourages employees to speak up and help stop inappropriate workplace conduct.
After a break, Hector, California’s “go to” expert on workplace safety, will tackle the challenging topic of workplace violence, including bullying and intimidation. Hector will increase your awareness and understanding of the potential for violence and more importantly, you will learn how to recognize the warning signs and understand the different response options that can be taken to prevent or minimize the impacts of violence.
