Event Details
Some of the largest verdicts against employers are the result of mismanaging leaves of absence and the reasonable accommodation process. Stay out of trouble by learning every aspect of California’s complex web of leaves laws.
In Part 2 of our two-part annual update, attendees will learn about the interactive process and reasonable accommodation including:
- When is attendance an “essential function” of a job?
- What is required to properly document the interactive process?
- When is a leave of absence a reasonable accommodation?
- How far can employers go in enforcing performance standards when an employee has a disability?
- How can employers effectively manage employees on intermittent medical leave?
Using case studies and hypotheticals, attendees will apply these laws in real world situations to gain a better understanding of how they work and interact with one another.
