Event Details
Some of the largest verdicts against employers are the result of mismanaging leaves of absence and the reasonable accommodation process. Stay out of trouble by learning every aspect of California’s complex web of leaves laws.
In Part 1 of our two-part annual update, we will review the key leave laws applicable to California employers, including Paid Sick Leave, Pregnancy Disability Leave, the FMLA/CFRA, the ADA/Fair Employment and Housing Act, and California’s “miscellaneous” leave provisions, such as jury duty, rehabilitation leave, time off for school activities and others. Using case studies and hypotheticals, attendees will apply these laws in real world situations to gain a better understanding of how the laws work and interact with one another.
Attendees will receive many practical tools in this session.
