WEBINAR

Employers now may include class action waivers in arbitration agreements without worrying about legal challenges.  The U.S. Supreme Court just said so.  That means (1) employees may be compelled to arbitrate disputes instead of going to court, and (2) those employees cannot file class action lawsuits, either in court or arbitration.

Is there a catch?  Of course!

Join Jennifer Shaw, a nationally recognized employment law attorney, for a plain English explanation of the Supreme Court’s “Epic” decision, and what it means for arbitration agreements.  Jennifer’s one-hour webinar will address:

  • What is a “class action waiver” and what does the Court’s decision that they are legal mean;
  • Whether the Supreme Court’s decisions affects arbitrations in California;
  • Why the Court’s decision does not affect some California claims that still cannot be arbitrated;
  • What are the pros and cons of arbitration compared with litigating in court;
  • How to implement arbitration in your organization;
  • And more!

HRCI and SHRM credit available.  Certificates of completion will be emailed to you after the webinar.  Bring your questions!

NOTES

Cost: $149 per person.  Certificates of completion will be provided.  MCLE credit is available.  Current clients may choose to be invoiced for the webinar. All other attendees will be approved once payment is received. Refunds are only available if cancellation is received by May 31, 2018.
