Email Distribution of Workplace Notices Finally a Go!

by Jennifer Shaw | | September 30, 2021

California employers may now distribute required posters and notices to employees via email. Senate Bill 657, which is effective on January 1, 2022, clarifies that employers do not need to send or show remote employees required employee postings. These documents may be emailed, provided that the required postings remain physically displayed at the workplace. Of course, due to the Pandemic, many employers have already adopted this practice out of necessity. Now, at least, it’s legal.

The law is SB 657, available here.
